Happy “Happy Monday”.
As I’m sure you are all aware, we are able to get together again to enjoy outdoor activities. Consequently, we are pleased to say that we are resuming our rides again, starting this Saturday, 3rd April at 9.30am.
I will lead the ride, starting from the Canoe Centre, which will be fairly short, with a distance of 27 miles, taking in Cogenhoe, Castle Ashby, Olney and Stoke Goldington. I make no apology for borrowing Milton’s excellent Boxing Day route, which does have a couple of hills, but is not too arduous.
There will not be a cafe stop, as these venues have not yet officially opened, and so we will do the 27 miles without a break. But the Canoe Centre has an excellent take-away which will be open for individuals wishing to refresh themselves after the ride. We also pass Salcey at around 20 miles if anyone wishes to break off at that point.
This will be a moderate to steady ride to suit the riders – probably around 12 to 13mph, so it will be relaxed.
As we did previously, can you confirm to me if you want to join so that we can ensure sufficient leaders.
So, brush the cobwebs off your best bikes and join us Saturday.
Cheers – Peter
